OBITUARY John Roy Coontz of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on Saturday, March 15, 2025, having reached the age of sixty-two years, one month and sixteen days. John was born in St. Mary's, MD on January 27, 1963, son of Donald James Coontz and Dorothy Ruth Coontz nee Waldron. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have two children. Almost seven years ago in 2018 he began sharing his life with Pamela Kay Frossard. John is survived by his companion, Pamela Frossard of St. Clair, MO; by his son, Jonathan Coontz of St. Clair, MO; by his mother, Dorothy Coontz of St. Clair, MO; by his brothers, Terry Coontz and significant other, Debbie, of Union, MO and Michael Coontz and wife, Deana, of St. Clair, MO; by his sister, Donna Francis and husband, Hildon, of Moselle, MO; by his grandchildren, Alex and Adrien Coontz, Maddison Paul and Levi Coontz; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. John was preceded in death by his father, Donald Coontz; and by his daughter, Tiffany Paul. During his working career he was currently employed at Gateway Extrusions in Union, MO for the last twenty-two years. He loved riding his Harley. He also enjoyed working on cars, going fishing and camping. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving companion, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Memorial visitation will take place from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with a memorial service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Larry Sikes. A private committal will take place at a later date.
