OBITUARY Jimmie Burns of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Fenton, MO on December 11, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-seven years, seven months and twenty-one days. Jimmie was born in Jadwin, MO on April 20, 1934, son of Albert William Burns and Grace Margaret Burns nee Walters. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have four daughters. Jimmie is survived by his daughters, Deborah Fox and husband, John, of Marthasville, MO, Christine Downey of St. Clair, MO, Jean Rampani of St. Clair and Joan Flora and husband, Larry, of St. Clair; by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Grace Burns; by his brothers, Albert Burns, William Burns, Robert Burns and Leonard Burns; by his sisters, Rose Picano, Marie Janicki and Patricia Henry; and by his son-in-law, Terry Downey. Jimmie was a Christian, having been baptized at the Assembly of God church in St. Clair, MO and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed by Yellow Freight Company in St. Louis, MO as a dock worker and retired after many years of service. He loved to travel whenever he could. Jimmie enjoyed working outside everyday doing yard work. He also enjoyed watching television, especially old western movies. His life revolved around his daughters and grandchildren. They were his pride and joy and created many precious memories together. The love they shared will be cherished by them all. A kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
