OBITUARY Jessie Patton Ziegler of Beaufort, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, having reached the age of eighty years and thirty days. Jessie was born in St. Louis, MO on December 23, 1944, daughter of Eddie and Ellie Brooks. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have two sons. Jessie is survived by her son, Louis Ziegler of St. Clair, MO; by two daughters-in-law, Rhonda Lofland of Lonedell, MO and Donna Williams of Ashland, MO; by her grandchildren, Audrey Ziegler of Beaufort, MO, Jackie Wren of St. Clair, MO, Raymond Wren of Beaufort, MO, Zeb Ziegler of St. Clair, MO, Ty Ziegler of Lonedell, MO and Jessie Ziegler of St. Clair, MO; by fourteen great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Ellie; and by one son, Edward Ziegler. Throughout most of her working career she delivered Meals on Wheels from the St. Clair Senior Center in St. Clair, MO. She loved being outdoors, especially in warmer weather, watching the birds feed or going to the river. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs, and she cherished the time spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be held dear in their hearts forever. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. A private committal will take place at a later date.
