Obituary

Jeffrey Robert Terschluse of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on November 1, 2021, having reached the age of sixty-two years and five days. Jeffrey was born in Washington, MO on October 27, 1959, son of Sylvester M. Terschluse and Elizabeth Rose Terschluse nee Konys. On July 8, 1985 he was united in marriage to Cheryl Ann Rogers and two daughters came to bless this union. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Cheryl Terschluse of St. Clair, MO; by his daughters, Amanda Kiefer and husband, John, of Pacific, MO and Jamie Cook and husband, Benjamin, of Owensville, MO; by one brother, Steve Terschluse and wife, Vicki, of Washington, MO; by his sisters-in-law, Ernie Terschluse of Washington and Carol Bryan and husband, Rodney, of St. Clair; by his brother-in-law, Charlie Rogers and wife, Dalena, of St. Clair; by his grandchildren, Chase and Paisley Kiefer of Pacific and Wyatt and Athena Cook of Owensville; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Elizabeth Terschluse; and by one brother, Mike Terschluse. Jeffrey was a Christian and member of The Compass Ministry in Union, MO. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy, entering on September 12, 1977 and receiving his final discharge on December 3, 1984, having attained the rank of HT2. During his working career he was employed by the Missouri State Board of Corrections as a criminal investigator. He was an avid reader and especially loved reading the Bible. Jeffrey also loved going fishing, riding motorcycles and watching old movies with Cheryl. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live on in their hearts. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of live was held from 12:30 to 3:00 PM Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Franklin County Baptist Association in Union, MO. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center. The family of Jeffrey Robert Terschluse was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
