OBITUARY James Elmer Kamper of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Pacific, MO on Sunday, June 9, 2024, having reached the age of sixty-nine years, three months and six days. James was born in Washington, MO on March 2, 1955, son of Elmer Ray Kamper and Opal Lee Kamper nee Sohn. On September 17, 1977 he was united to Ana Conception Perry. James is survived by his wife, Ana Kamper of St. Clair, MO; by his son, John Fischer of Fort Collins, CO; by his mother, Opal Kamper of St. Clair, MO; by his brother, Doug Kamper and wife, Carol, of St. Clair, MO; by his sister, Diane Beckman and husband, Marc, of St. Clair, MO; by his grandchildren, Paige Martin and fiancé, Shawn Willis, of Cuba, MO, Ashley Fischer of Fort Collins, CO, Lilian Fischer of Fort Collins, CO and Hannah Fischer of Fort Collins, CO; by one great-grandchild, Lincoln Willis, with one on the way; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. James was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Kamper. James was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. He was employed as a welder for Permaneer in Union, MO, Daimler-Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO and Canam Steel in Washington, MO. James was a member to the St. Clair Sportsman Club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing and hunting and spending time on the river. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Marc Beckman officiating. Interment will be in United Methodist Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
