OBITUARY
Ivan Coleman was born to Edith Benton and Clinton Coleman on November 18, 1934. He lived to be 91 and 11 months, being the last one of his family on this earth, surviving 4 brothers, Clinton Jr, Warren, Jimmy, and Paul Gene, and one sister, Doris.
He was a hard worker and everything he did was to perfection. He served in the miliary Army Corps of Engineers for a short time, then went to work at Chrysler for 30 years. He retired but was requested back for a while to use his expertise to fix manufacturing problems no one else was could solve. He went on to hold jobs at Union bank and Senior Citizen Homes.
He was married to his beloved wife Donna R Roark. They were blessed with one son, Charles Glenn Coleman. They were married 68 years before he was called home on October 17th, 9:30pm.
He was saved and became a Christian at First Baptist Church. He taught Sunday School for over 60 years at First Baptist and then Bethel Baptist Church. He was a prayer warrior and a God-fearing man. He loved wood-working and teaching kids. He lead many people to the Lord.
He loved his grandkids, Luke Coleman and Victoria Coleman, and all the informally adopted grandkids he helped raise over the years. He loved working outdoors, building things, and fixing things.
He diligently studied the Bible and showed loving kindness to everyone, a wonderful example of Christ-likeness. He will be missed by many.
