Glen Oscar Stahlman of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on Thursday, February 23, 2023, having reached the age of eighty-eight years and twelve days. Glen was born in Catawissa, MO on February 11, 1935, son of Roy Arthur Stahlman and Eunice Myron Stahlman nee Lewis. On April 26, 1956 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Flora and three children came to bless this union. Glen is survived by his children, Brad Stahlman and wife, Deanna, of Union, MO, Judy Rahmeyer of Osage Beach, MO and Debbie Crews and husband, Les, of Washington, MO; by his brothers, Keith Stahlman and wife, Marilyn, of Union, MO and Leland Stahlman of St. Clair, MO; by his sister, Karen Sitzes and husband, Gerald, of Villa Ridge, MO; by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eunice Stahlman; and by his wife, Phyllis Stahlman. Glen was a Christian, raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed by Alton Box Company in Pacific, MO, now known as Jefferson Smurfitt, until his retirement. He was also employed at Hoffman's Towing in St. Clair, MO for over fifty years, retiring from there in August of 2021. He also in the past enjoyed spending time at Vogelsang's while they were still located on Main Street. Glen loved going fishing, especially gigging, riding and working on motorcycles and cars and working on boats and the sports center in St. Clair. While working at Hoffman's folks affectionately referred to him as "the guy that does inspections on my car". His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy and he cherished the time spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will never be forgotten. A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Gary Daud officiating. Interment will be in Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
