OBITUARY
Gerald Edward Malone, Sr. (known to most people as Jerry) of St. Clair, MO departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, having reached the age of seventy-seven years, two months and twenty-five days. Jerry was born in Washington, MO on April 2, 1949, son of Robert Jobe Malone and Virginia Ruby Malone nee Davis. On July 27, 1968 he was united in marriage to Martha Patricia Hord, known to all as Pat, and four children came to bless this union.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Pat Malone of St. Clair, MO; by his sons, Jerry Malone, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Robertsville, MO and Eric Malone and wife, Darlene, of Gerald, MO; by his daughters, Tina Gotsch and partner, Tim, of St. Clair, MO and Tiffany Nolan and husband, Jim, of St. Clair, MO; by one brother, John Malone of Dittmer, MO; by his sisters, Nancy Smith of High Ridge, MO, Pam Ramsey and husband, Jack, of High Ridge, MO and Linda Partney of High Ridge, MO; by his grandchildren, Travis Malone, Austin Glandon and wife, Paige, Shelby Malone, Samantha Bentrup and husband, Patrick, Dakota Gotsch, Jameson Nolan and Kellie Nolan; by his great-grandchildren, Aubrey Malone, Hunter Glandon, Easton Glandon and Scarlett Bentrup; by one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Malone; and by one brother, Butch Malone.
Jerry was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed by Daimler Chrysler Corporation, working on the assembly line and retiring after thirty-three years of service to the company. He was a proud member of both United Auto Workers Local 110 and Local 136. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting and singing karaoke with his family. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. Jerry especially cherished the fifty-eight years he spent with the love of his life, Pat. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A private committal will take place at a later date. The family of Gerald Edward Malone, Sr. entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
