OBITUARY

Georin Cartez Aitch of Union, MO departed this life in Union, MO on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, having reached the age of sixty-two years. Georin was born in Kirkwood, MO on August 27, 1963, son of George William Aitch and Patricia Ann Aitch nee Jackson.

Georin is survived by his mother, Patricia Aitch; brother, Geoffrey Aitch (Jane); sister, Patrice Aitch; nephews, William Aitch and Hunter Osman; niece, Ruthann Uffman (Trenton); aunts, Danita Carter (Brian, dec.) and Vivian Evans; uncles, Calvin Aitch (Margie, dec.), Louis Aitch (Sheila), Walter Jackson (Kathy, dec.) and Ervin Aitch (Norveena); beloved cousins and many friends.

Georin was preceded in death by his father, George W. Aitch; grandparents Carten and Wilmor Aitch and Walter and Jacquella Jackson; aunts, Cleasie Davis (Larry), Jacqueline Brooks (David); and uncle, Edwin Aitch.

Georin believed in the Lord as his Savior. He was baptized at Corinthian Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO by his father, the Reverend George W. Aitch and later in life, worshipped at First Baptist Church of Chesterfield, MO as well as took part in family Bible study. Georin was a 1982 graduate of St. Clair High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO, and Florissant Valley Community College in Florissant, MO. He began his employment at Six Flags Over Mid America and Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Eureka, MO. He proudly served as a Mail Clerk at the main post office in St. Louis, MO. He retired after 37 years of service as a member of the American Postal Workers Union.

Among his many interests, Georin played string bass in the East Central Community College Orchestra in Union, MO and enjoyed music with his family. Georin diligently worked on and managed the family farm. His top passions were raising cattle and gardening; specifically, watermelon and cantaloupe. Georin also played a key role in the family apiary where honey harvesting was always a favorite and collecting maple sap for syrup. In addition, Georin was the caretaker for the family cemetery. He enjoyed gourmet cooking and was a food connoisseur. Say the words “road trip” and his eyes sparkled with anticipation. Georin was a consummate problem solver with a clever wit. He was proficient at many hobbies and recently began a journey in a new skill. Challenging his creativity and talents, glass flameworking became a passion. He improved quickly and sold his first pieces at a craft fair in Columbia, Missouri.

Georin loved his family and consumed every bit of information he could about them. With a memory better than an elephant, he earned the title of family historian. Gregarious, warm, compassionate and encouraging, Georin did not know a stranger. He cared deeply for all who crossed his path.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. May the joy he experienced and precious memories created from gathering with family and friends stay with each and every one who was blessed to meet and know Georin.
