Annette was employed as a butcher by Krey Packing Company, where she worked until she became a fulltime mother and homemaker in 1955. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening and canning the many fruits and vegetables from the garden they planted. She enjoyed playing board games and card games with her kids when they were growing up. She was a great seamstress, sewing clothes and doing alterations for friends and neighbors. In her later years she really enjoyed crocheting lap blankets to be given to the veterans, soldiers as she called them, and sending them to various nursing homes close to home and as far away as Lake of the Ozarks. That was something she spoke proudly about until her eyesight failed and her hands wouldn't work so good anymore. In her later years she really enjoyed going to the casinos and playing the slot machines. She very much enjoyed her family and was happiest when all gathered together in her home. Annette was a kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
