OBITUARY Gary Russell Fisk of Grubville, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on April 29, 2023, having reached the age of sixty-six years, two months and eighteen days. Gary was born in the United Kingdom on February 11, 1957, son of Russell Seymour Fisk and Lily Elizabeth Fisk nee Plympton. On December 27, 2002 he was united in marriage to LoisAnn Bardot. Gary is survived by his wife, LoisAnn Bardot-Fisk of Grubville, MO; by his mother-in-law, Joan Bardot of Lonedell, MO; by his siblings-in-law, Robert Bardot, Jr. and wife, Dianna, of Lonedell, MO, Roger Bardot and wife, Wendy, of Lonedell, MO and Pam Broeker and husband, Troy, of Lonedell, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lily Fisk; by his brother, Dennis Fisk; and by his father-in-law, Robert Bardot, Sr. Gary was proud to have served his country in both the United States Army and the Missouri Army National Guard, having attained the rank of SP4 over an eighteen-year period of service. He enjoyed going to car shows, had a special fondness of his Ford Ranchero and was an avid NASCAR fan, following his favorite driver, Mark Martin. He loved watching movies, especially James Bond and John Wayne movies. He was a fan of Green Bay Packer and Kansas City Chiefs football and also enjoyed listening to baseball games. Gary also loved Oscar Mayer Bologna and Vienna Sausages. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. They lovingly referred to him as "Mr. G." The love they shared and many precious memories they created will cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with services at 12:00 PM Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Deacon TJ Wilde officiating. Inurnment with full military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
