OBITUARY Faye Baker nee Hancock, of Lonedell, MO departed this life in Fenton, MO on July 31, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-seven years, eleven months and fourteen days. Faye was born in Success, MO on August 14, 1934, daughter of Robert Emmet Hancock and Blanche Ollie Hancock nee Hart. On May 10, 1952 she was united in marriage to Charles Earl Baker and three children came to bless this union. Faye is survived by her husband, Charles Baker of Lonedell, MO; by her children, Charlie W. Baker and wife, Marcy, of St. Clair, MO, Donna Faye Baker-Thurman of Lonedell, MO and Richard "Rick" Baker and wife, Patti, of St. Louis, MO; by three brothers, Johnny Hancock and wife, Leona, of Houston, MO, Jimmy Hancock and wife, Kathy, of the state of OK and Tommy Hancock of Houston, MO; by one sister, Cora Lou Lawler of Springfield, MO; by her great-grandson, Marcus Baker and fiancé, Angel Stubbs, of Lonedell, MO and seven grandchildren; by six other great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Blanche Hancock; by two brothers, Lloyd Hancock and Wayne Hancock; by one sister, Virgie Stilley; by one granddaughter, Angela Baker; and by one great-great-granddaughter, Ravyn Baker. Faye was a Christian and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. In her younger years she was employed at International Shoe Company in Houston, MO and later worked as a secretary for Alberici Construction Company with Charles. Faye was also a volunteer 1st Responder for the St. Clair Ambulance District and ran a clothes closet, providing clothes for the less fortunate, for a few years. She enjoyed working in the garden raising flowers and vegetables, cooking and sewing. Faye also enjoyed watching daytime soap operas, especially Days of Our Lives, and old western movies with Charles. She especially loved to spend time with Charles on long drives and doing ancestry research. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and the very many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great, great-great and great-great-great- aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Jeff Scott officiating. Entombment will be in Crestview Memorial Park Haven of Rest Mausoleum in St. Clair, MO.
