OBITUARY Ernestine Rose Delmain, known to all as Tena, of Lonedell, MO departed this life in St. James on Sunday, May 14, 2023, having reached the age of eighty-six years, seven months and eleven days. Tena was born in Herculaneum, MO on October 3, 1936, daughter of Ernest Peredoe, Sr. and Daisy Peredoe nee Lore. On May 2, 1955 she was united in marriage to Bernard John Delmain, Sr. and three children came to bless this union. Tena is survived by her husband, Bernard Delmain, Sr. of Lonedell, MO; by her sons, Bernard J. Delmain, Jr. of Lonedell, MO and Monte T. Delmain and wife, Patty, of Lonedell, MO; by one sister, Sue Stufflebean of Sullivan, MO; by her brother-in-law, Darrel Delmain and wife, Rose, of Salem, MO; by her grandchildren, Debra Morrow of Fenton, MO, Sherry Lipic of Arnold, MO and James Delmain of Lonedell, MO; by her great-grandchildren, Nora Rose Lipic and Luca Clintsman; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Tena was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Daisy Peredoe; by her daughter, Brenda Caldwell; by her brothers, Cletus Peredoe, Charles Peredoe and Ernest Peredoe; and by three sisters, Evelyn Koch, Jean Wiles and Nellie Manning. Tena was a Christian and formerly attended First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. In her younger years she was employed at a shoe factory in Union, MO and then Walmart in Union, in the jewelry department for almost four years. She was primarily a homemaker who took good care of her home and family and never tired of her job. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and ceramics. She was involved with the St. Clair Saddle Club for several years and proud member of the Meramec Area Sportsmen's Assn. Spending time with her family, and lovingly spoiling her grandchildren brought her great joy. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Michael Kinion officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
