Elizabeth (Libby) Mary Addison of St Clair, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the age of 85 years old. She is survived by sisters Barbara Allen-McPhee and Sharon Ruffner, daughters Christine Ross (David Mitchell), Theresa Addison, Julie (Mathew) Bauman, and Laura Addison (Stephen Winter), as well as grandchildren Sean Ross, Olivia Stack, Ashley (Andrew) Sturtevant, Aaron Schroeder and Katie Schroeder, and great grandchildren Gwen Sturtevant and Delilah Sturtevant. Libby graduated from Sophie Berra High School and was united in marriage to Robert Addison on November 16, 1963. Four daughters were born to this marriage. Libby was a very devoted mother and grandmother and relished spending time with her loved ones. She was very dedicated to her Catholic faith and was once a member of the Daughters of Isabella in St. Clair, MO. Libby did not know a stranger and extended love and kindness to everyone she met throughout her life. This was especially evident in her various jobs, including her more recent employment at Walmart. Libby was also known for her great sense of humor and her generosity towards those in need. She was an immense animal lover and doted upon her rescued pets. Libby will be dearly missed by all who knew her and leaves a lasting impression on their hearts. We would especially like to thank her at-home caregivers for their loving support during her time of need. Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society of Missouri or St. Vincent De Paul.
