OBITUARY

Eleanora Marie Hoeffner, 74, of St. Clair, MO, passed away on May 26, 2026. She was born on December 23, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Gerhardt “Fred” Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Wilson (Heisse). On July 27, 1974, Eleanora was united in marriage to Richard Harry Hoeffner. Together they shared 51 years of marriage and raised two children.

Eleanora is survived by her loving husband, Richard Hoeffner of St. Clair, MO; by her son, Justin Hoeffner and spouse, Lindsay, Porter of St. Louis, MO; by her daughter, Sara McDonald of St. Clair, MO; by her grandchildren, Charlene and Amelia McDonald, both of St. Clair, MO; by her sister, Mary Puckett of St. Louis, MO; by her brother, James Wilson and his spouse, Pat Brindza, of St. Louis, MO; by her sister-in-law, Karen Sprinkle of Liberty, MO; and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Eleanora was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Wilson.

Eleanora had retired from Delta Gear Company as the treasurer after forty-five years of dedication to the company. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, bird watching, reading, and camping. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. A woman of quiet strength, warmth, and devotion, Eleanora will be remembered for her deep love of family and the steady, caring presence she brought into the lives of all who knew her and loved her. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.

A kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
