OBITUARY Edward Byron Sneed of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Monday, August 18, 2025, having reached the age of sixty-nine years, one month and six days. Edward was born in East St. Louis, IL, son of Edward Benjamin Sneed and Phyllis Sneed nee Byron. On November 20, 1999 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Lynn Endicott and two sons came to bless this union. Edward is survived by his wife, Kathleen Sneed of St. Clair, MO; by his sons, Zachary Sneed and wife, Alicia, of Webster Groves, MO and Joshua Sneed and girlfriend, Katherine Yahanda, of Florissant, MO; by his brother, Bert Westbrook and wife, Lisa, of Lake Ozark, MO; by his sister, Eloise Paulsen and husband, Kerry, of Macks Creek, MO; by his granddaughter, Josette Lynn Sneed of Webster Groves, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sneed and Phyllis Westbrook. Edward was a Christian and had been attending Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. During his working career he owned and operated Sneed Overhead Door Company, a business he started in 1982, and was a member of DODA (Door and Operators Dealers of Americas). Edward was a past member of Lion's Club in Webster Groves, MO and the Webster Groves Garden Club. He enjoyed going fishing and tinkering with and restoring old classic cars, especially his 1959 GMC Fleetside Pickup Truck, a 1924 Ford Model T, a 1936 Plymouth Coupe and many others. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Duke West officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
