OBITUARY Earl William Sohn of St. Clair, MO departed this life on Friday, May 24, 2024, having reached the age of fifty-eight years, six months and sixteen days. Earl was born in Washington, MO on November 8, 1965, son of Edward Willie Sohn and Mary Louise Sohn. Earl is survived by his son, Dakota Earl Sohn of Union, MO; by his brother, Eddie Sohn of Hollister, MO; by his sisters; Lois Barton and husband, Rick, of Augusta, MO and Janie Halle and husband, Tim, of St. James, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Sohn. Earl was a Christian and believed in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed by the Daimler Chrysler Corporation, by the Franklin County Highway Department as a mechanic, as well as Dickie Bub. He was a proud member of Sons of American Legion Post 347, St. Clair, MO. He loved to play pool, spend time with his son and watch wrestling on television. He also enjoyed going fishing and having fish dinner on Friday nights at the legion. He loved animals, especially his pet dogs. Earl was known to most as "the appliance man." What meant most to him was spending time with family and friends. The love and fellowship they shared will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at United Methodist Cemetery in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Carl Duff officiating. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
