OBITUARY Doris Lucille Dierker of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on Sunday, December 1, 2024, having reached the age of eighty-eight years, three months and twenty-one days. Doris was born in St. Clair, MO on August 10, 1936, daughter of Clarence William Sohn and Frances Sarah Sohn nee Landing. On May 26, 1956 she was united in marriage to Gerhard Leon Dierker, known to all as Sonny, and two daughters came to bless this union. Doris is survived by one daughter, Michelle Gordon and husband, Tony, of St. Clair, MO; by two grandsons, Tyler Gordon and wife, Mikinzi, of Kansas and Matthew Gordon and wife, Karissa, of St. Clair, MO; by her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Claire, Louis and Callah; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances Sohn; by her husband, Sonny Dierker; by one infant daughter, Tammy Dierker; by her brothers, Claude Sohn, Bobby Sohn and Paul Sohn; and by her sisters, Deanne Sohn and infant, Joyce Sohn; Doris was a Christian and member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Sullivan, MO. During her working career she worked at various places including Southwestern Bell Telephone, Brown Shoe Company, R&R Center, Rexham Containers and American Health Care. Doris also enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom too, babysitting children and caring for animals. She was a talented seamstress that loved to sew. Working in her garden, canning her produce and cooking were also things she loved to do. Doris also enjoyed going gambling with her special cousin, Shirley Bay. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. A private graveside committal will take place at New Chapel Hill Cemetery in Sullivan, MO. Memorials may be made to New Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
