OBITUARY

Donna Lee Nix of Fenton, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, having reached the age of seventy-five years. Donna was born in St. Louis, MO on September 14, 1950, daughter of Arthur John Fiala and Bernice Fiala nee Mitchell. On April 8, 1978 she was united in marriage to Michael Martin Nix, Sr. and two children came to bless this union.

Donna is survived by her husband, Michael Nix, Sr. of Fenton, MO; by her children, Michael Nix, Jr. of High Ridge, MO and William Nix and wife, Monica, of Pacific, MO; by her grandchildren, Ella Nix, Grace Nix and Adelynn Nix; by one sister-in-law, Beverly Lovatto of Troy, IL; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bernice Fiala; by her brother, Dale Fiala; by her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Nix; and by one sister-in-law, Barbara McHugh.

During her working career she was employed by the United States Postal Service in St. Louis, MO for ten years. Donna was a talented seamstress, who enjoyed making costumes for Halloween. She also enjoyed making a variety of crafts including Christmas ornaments every year. She was a great cook and incredible baker. Donna also loved to grow flowers in her garden, going shopping and bargain hunting. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, who referred to her as Mamo, and the many precious memories they created together will be held dear in their hearts forever. She loved them, as she would say, "a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck."

A kind and loving wife, mother, mamo, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

The family of Donna Lee Nix entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
