OBITUARY Dixie Marilyn Tyree of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, having reached the age of eighty-eight years, ten months and sixteen days. Dixie was born in Grubville, MO on July 15, 1934, daughter of Percy Gladwin Dickinson and Mildred Ester Dickinson nee Friend. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have six children. Dixie is survived by five children, Cindy Fischer and husband, Garry, of Union, MO, Tom Tyree and wife, Ann, of St. Clair, MO, Rick Tyree and wife, Shelly, of Walker, LA, Mike Tyree of St. Clair, MO and Troy Tyree and wife, Christine, of Herculaneum, MO; by two sisters, Crystal DeClue of Union, MO and Debbra Dickinson of Sullivan, MO; by her grandchildren, Chip Fischer and wife, Michelle, Joe Fischer, Michaela Fischer, Tina Duquette and husband, Chad, Wendy Tyree, Danny Tyree, Rick Tyree, Jr. and wife, Nikki, Cody Tyree and wife, Sarah, Kristin Tyree, Megan Krull and husband, Kevin, Jennifer Heberlie and husband, Shannon, and Adam Tyree; by eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Mildred Dickinson; by her brothers, Percy E. Dickinson, James Dickinson, Sr. and Perry Dickinson; and by one sister, Emily Dennis. Dixie was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she worked in the health care industry for Complete Health Care in St. Clair, MO, retiring after fifteen years of service. In the early 1990's she was employed as an office worker for both Missouri Knife Company, as well as International Shoe Company. Dixie had an interest in genealogy and her interest led her to author a book about it. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading the Missourian newspaper. Dixie also enjoyed going fishing, camping and travelling, especially to Silver Dollar City. She enjoyed listening to country western music, especially Willie Nelson. She was considered the hostess for family reunions for all sides of the family. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Jeff Scott officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Grubville, MO. Memorials may be made to Fairview Cemetery in Grubville, MO.
