OBITUARY

Dewey McGregor IV passed away surrounded by family on Monday, June 8, 2026, having reached the age of 51. Dewey was born on August 6, 1974, to Barbara Bailey, nee Fleming, and Dewey McGregor III. As a young man, he was married to Wendy Jones and had two daughters, Tischia McGregor and Tamia McGregor.

Dewey is survived by his mother, Barbara Bailey, and stepfather, Nathan Bailey; father, Dewey McGregor III; his father’s significant other, Nancy Gonzalez; his wife, Wendy McGregor nee Jones; his two daughters, Tischia and Tamia McGregor; his grandmother, Stella Keith; his two sisters, Nicole and Janessa Bailey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him.

Dewey grew up enjoying basketball and graduated from Pacific High School in 1994. He briefly served in the United States Army before returning home to work towards a career in painting and drywall, often with his Uncle Glenn. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars, fishing, BBQing, being outdoors, playing dominoes and spades, and spending time with his friends and family.

Dewey was known for being kind-hearted and helping others, and he was treasured in the lives of many people in Robertsville, St. Clair, Pacific, New Haven, St. Louis, and beyond. His smile, loyalty, and sense of humor will always be remembered, and he will be deeply missed.

A private family ceremony will be held on June 20, 2026, with a celebration of life on August 1, 2026.
