OBITUARY
Dennis Wayne Stone of Lonedell, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Thursday, February 26, 2026, having reached the age of sixty-two years, four months and ten days. Dennis was born in Washington, MO in October 16, 1963, son of Doris Stone and Wilma Ludean Stone nee McKinney. In March of 2002 he began sharing his life with Victoria Lynn Schunemeyer nee Engler.
Dennis is survived by his fiancé, Vicki Schunemeyer of Lonedell, MO; by his daughter, Chelsea Schunemeyer of Lonedell, MO; by his step-daughters, Tiffany Barajas and fiancé, Jason Thompson, of St. Clair, MO and Kadi Schunemeyer of St. Clair, MO; by his grandson, Bryson Barajas of St. Clair, MO; by his sister, Lisa Benne and significant other, Joseph Russo, of Washington, MO; by his uncle, Hugh Stone and wife, Matilda, of IL; by his brothers-in-law, John Engler and wife, Marilyn, of St. Clair, MO and Clint Engler and wife, Ashley, of St. Clair, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Wilma Stone; and by his brothers, Dorris McKinney and David Stone.
Dennis was a Christian of the Baptist faith and had attended The Ridge Church in Sullivan, MO. He was employed by the Rockwood School District in St. Louis County as an electrician for over twenty-five years. Dennis enjoyed riding horses and riding around on his Razr side by side. He also enjoyed time on his pontoon boat riding on Lake of the Ozarks and Tablerock Lake. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving companion, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Interment will be in Brush Creek Cemetery in Gray Summit, MO. Memorials may be made to The Ridge Church in Sullivan, MO.
