Obituary David Earl Redhage September 17, 1947 - October 29. 2022 It is with great sadness to announce that David Redhage, age 75, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2002. Visitation will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.at Russell's Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO, American Legion and VFW ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Interment with Military Honors, at Midlawn Cemetery, Union, MO will be Saturday November 5, 2022, 1:00 p.m. Mr. Bob Havin will be officiating, Mr. David Davis and Mrs. Becky Short will be providing smoothing music. David was born at St. Frances Hospital, Washington, MO September 17, 1947, son of the late Herman and Thelma (nee King) Redhage. David joined and was Baptized at Prospect Baptist Church, Londell, MO at a young age. David graduated from St. Clair High School 1965, received a basketball scholarship to Popular Bluff Technical Career Center. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy 1966, active-duty Vietnam War. Honorable discharge 1970. Served Army Reserves 1976 through 1982. David married Nancy Reed Redhage December 4, 1987 at Friendship Southern Baptist Church, St. Clair, MO, Reverend Duane Banderman officiating. After 40 years of total service as a machinist David retired from Parker Hannifin, Washington, MO. David was a retired member of the District No. 9, International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Pension Trust, Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2482, St. Clair, MO, 33 year member of the American Legion Post 347, St. Clair, MO, 22 year member of the Elks USA Washington, MO #1559, a 20 year member of the Quail Ridge Horseshoe Club, St. Charles, MO, and a proud disabled VA Healthcare Service Connected Veteran. Dave is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy Reed Redhage; one daughter, Michelle Spencer, Illinois, two-step sons: Chuck Neely Jr. (significant other Jean Gentes) and Timothy Neely, (significant other Katina Kakadiaris), Washington, MO Seven grandchildren: Bradley Virgin, Brittney (Josh) Trader, Bailey and Lilly Spencer, Springfield, IL., Nathan Neely, Washington, MO, Abby and Lilly Neely, Cape Girardeau, MO Two great grandchildren; Lincoln David and Kennedi Amelia Trader, Springfield, IL, by his sister, Wanda Lack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Thelma Redhage, Two brothers Billy Joe and Johnnie Redhage. The family would like to express a very sincere, heartfelt thank you to the Mercy Hospice Team, Washington, MO for their excellent, dedicated and compassionate care of David. Thank you to the many friends for their kind and caring service for David.
