OBITUARY David Ray Busse of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Pacific, MO on Thursday, November 23, 2023, having reached the age of seventy-three years, nine months and eighteen days. David was born in Sullivan, MO on February 5, 1950, son of Carl David Busse and Lois May Busse nee Barnes. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have three children. David is survived by his children, Karrie Medema and husband, Craig, of Fort Mills, SC, Eric Busse of Lyman, WY and Nicole Hinson and husband, Brian, of St. Clair, MO; by four brothers, Calvin Busse and wife, Barbara, of Springfield, MO, Timothy Busse of Springfield, MO, Rick Busse and wife, Leona, of Washington, MO and Kelly Busse and wife, Donna, of Springfield, MO; by his grandchildren, Cody Patrick, Shyla Murphy, Michael Medema, Brandon Medema, Ethan Busse, Brandon Hinson, Dalton Hinson and Wesley Hinson, Jr.; by his great-grandchildren, Ansley Patrick and William Kinder; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lois Busse; by one brother, Douglas Busse; and by his sister, Beverly Starnes. David was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he worked for Solvay Minerals in Green River, WY for about thirty years. He enjoyed working on tractors, rebuilding and working on engines, spending time in his shop and just generally working on things. David also enjoyed going to the Finish Line Café in Lonedell, MO and was always eager for good conversation. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he cherished his time spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be held dear in their hearts forever. A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. A private committal will take place at a later date at Anaconda Community Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
