On October 1, 2005 he was united in marriage to Sandra Dawn Wilken, known to all as Sandy, and one daughter came to bless this union. David is survived by his wife, Sandy Banderman of St. Clair, MO; by his parents, David, Sr. and Becky Banderman of St. Clair, MO; by his grandmother, Norma Stevenson, known to all as Gram, of St. Clair, MO; by his sister, Dana Banderman of St. Clair, MO; by his girls, Brooklyn Wilken of Mountain Grove, MO, Alyssa Cassidy and husband, Justin, of Sullivan, MO, Madison Wilken of Sullivan, MO and Bailey Wilken of St. Clair, MO; by his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Wilken and wife, Joy, of St. Clair, MO, Art Wilken and wife, Teresa, of Salem, MO, Lisa Wright of Columbia, MO and Stacy Wilken of Memphis, MO; by aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Corina Wilken, known to all as Boppie; by his nephew, Dustin Downey; and by his grandparents, George Stevenson, known to all as either Al or Poppie, Cordilla Banderman, known to all as Dee and John Banderman. David was a Christian and believed in the Lord as his Savior. He loved helping out at Philly's Pizza, but his true passion was running the green house, which he did for over seven years. David was always doing something, enjoyed dinners with his crew, but didn't care for cutting the grass. He also enjoyed doing anything outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, camping or kayaking. David would make it a point to see "Gram" every evening and loved playing with his pet dog "Ruby". What meant most to him was time spent with family and being Maelee's Dae Dae. The love he shared with his family and the many precious memories they created together will forever be cherished by them all. Davey raised his 4 girls as his own and loved them dearly. He spent much time with them, attending all ball games or other activities at school, taking them on vacations in the summer or just a week-end trip to the lake. His greatest wish for them was to see them graduate high school. He got to see the first 3 but sadly he will miss attending his baby's graduation this spring. But he will be watching over her. Davey ended each day by sending emails to very favored great aunts, a niece, 2 nephews and his Gram, "Night. I love you." And to Sandy, "Love you, Dear." A kind and loving husband, son, grandson, brother-in-law, nephew, great-nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Wyatt Otten officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Corina Wilken's Scholarship Fund.
