OBITUARY Clytia Darleen Allen, known to all as Darlene, of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on Thursday, January 9, 2025, having reached the age of seventy-nine years and four months. Darlene was born in Poplar Bluff, MO on September 9, 1945, daughter of Clytus Oranda Hartle and Vernia Leona Hartle nee Whitehead. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have two daughters. Darlene is survived by her daughters, Beth Lewis and husband, Gene, of Washington, MO and Lisa Light and husband, Matthew, of St. Clair, MO; by her brother, Stephen Hartle and wife, Zoe, of Jennings, MO; by her sister, Fran Sprous of Wentzville, MO; by one half-brother, Gary Hartle of St. Louis, MO; by her grandchildren, Jessica Lewis, Samantha Miner and husband, Matt, Jonathan Lewis and wife, Elissa, Max Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Nicholas Light and wife, Erin, Thomas Light and Ruth Barns and husband, Nathan; by her great-grandchildren, Halle Blankenship, Leah, Job and Maddie Light and Charlie and Jude Barns; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Clytus and Vernia Hartle; and by two half- brothers, Hank and Kenny Hartle. Darlene was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. During most of her working career she was a self-employed insurance agent. Darlene loved animals, had many pets over the years and was especially fond of her pet dogs Toto, Ringo and Heidi. She also enjoyed working in her yard and spending time in nature. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. Graveside services will be held at Bernie City Cemetery in Bernie, MO with Rev. Ray Laramore officiating. The family of Darlene Allen entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
