Danny Kay Diesel of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Louis, MO on Friday, September 20, 2024, having reached the age of seventy-nine years, seven months and four days. Danny was born in St. Louis, MO on February 16, 1945, son of Elmer Diesel and Dorothy Diesel nee Kirstine. On May 20, 1974 he was united in marriage to Judy Ann Williams and he was a very loving and caring dad to her three sons. This past year they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Danny is survived by his wife, Judy Diesel of St. Clair, MO; by his sons, Michael Tourville of St. Clair, MO, Kevin Tourville of St. Clair, MO and Jeff Tourville and wife, Jessica, of Wentzville, MO; by his grandchildren, Emily Wilson and husband, Josh, of Union, MO, Jenna Meyer and husband, David, of Gerald, MO, Jordan Cain and husband, Jessie, of St. Louis, MO, Haley Frey of Wentzville, MO, Blake Tourville and fiancé, Sierra Rodgers, of Troy, MO and Caden Frey of Wentzville, MO; by his great-grandchildren, Caiden, Addalee, Mari, Mckenzie, Jace, Aubree, Kyler, Brayden, Haisley and Maddie; by his sister-in-law, Edna Roller and husband, Raymond, of St. Clair, MO; by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dorothy Diesel; and by his four siblings. Danny lived most of his life in St. Clair, MO. He was a Christian and member of Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. During his working career he was employed as an iron worker, working primarily through the union hall of Iron Workers Local 396 in St. Louis, MO, which he was a proud member of for many years. Danny was a previous member of Masonic Lodge 363 in Robertsville, MO and member of Easter Lodge 575 AF & AM in St. Clair, MO. Fall was his favorite time of the year and he enjoyed traveling to view the fall foliage. In the spring he would mushroom hunt and had found many through the years. He enjoyed making baskets and learned the trade from Harvey Hafley on Indian Creek. He also enjoyed hunting deer and turkey and when he had his beagles he would hunt rabbits. Danny enjoyed traveling to find covered bridges and going up in lighthouses, until he no longer could. He was an avid reader that enjoyed reading Louis L'amour westerns and going to the movies. What meant most to him was time spent with family and friends. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Duke West officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO.
