Daniel Anthony Kornucik, Sr. of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on Saturday, December 7, 2024, having reached the age of eighty-three years, one month and eight days. Daniel was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 29, 1941, son of George Anthony Kornucik, Sr. and Verma Louis Kornucik nee Ekas. As a young man he was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Kornucik nee Barrett and blessed to have four children. Daniel is survived by his wife, Joyce, of St. Clair, Missouri, his daughter, Tammy Micallef and husband, Raymond, of Sandia, Texas; his Daughter Crystal Kornucik of St. Clair, Missouri, His son Christopher Scott Kornucik and wife Leah, of O'fallon, Missouri; by Grandchildren Dustin Ammerman and wife Chelsie, of Gillette, Wyoming, Amanda Davis and husband Bryan, of Portland, Texas, Thomas Miller of Portland, Oregon, Audrey Kornucik of St. Clair, Missouri, Sebastian Kornucik of O'fallon, Missouri and Melina Kornucik of O'fallon, Missouri; great-grandsons Tristan Carr of Portland, Texas and Daniel Ammerman of Gillette, Wyoming; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, George Anthony, Sr. and Verma Kornucik, by his son Daniel Anthony Kornucik Jr., and by his Brother, George Anthony Kornucik Jr. Daniel was a Christian, having been raised in the Roman Catholic Faith. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army, entering on December 10, 1963 and receiving his honorable discharge on November 30, 1969. Daniel worked at Von Weise Gear Company for 26 years and Wal-Mart for 19 years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing Basketball, tinkering on cars with his brother, and going fishing, a past-time that he shared with all of his family. Daniel was a kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend. He was a true family man and spent countless hours with his wife and kids making the most precious memories that will be forever cherished. He will be sadly missed, and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 13, 2024 at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO, with Military Honors to follow. Interment will be at a later date. Instead of flowers, Memorials may be made to the St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, Missouri.
