OBITUARY Cynthia Lou Huff of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on Thursday, March 6, 2025, having reached the age of sixty-eight years, one month and twenty-three days. Cynthia was born in Kirkwood, MO on January 11, 1957, daughter of Clarence Arnold Kennedy and Dorothy Ann Marie Kennedy nee Steinbruegge. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have three children. In October of 1990 she began spending her life together with Bobby Jay Nelson. Cynthia is survived by her significant other, Bobby Jay Nelson of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Tina Coleman of Florissant, MO, Torie Coleman of Hazelwood, MO and Neil Huff of Camdenton, MO; by her mother, Dorothy Bolte of St. Clair, MO; by seven siblings, Patricia Mudd of St. Clair, MO, Kathleen Bouzek and husband, Charles, of Diana, TX, Gilbert Kennedy and wife, April, of Sullivan, MO, Marcie Sullentrup and husband, Nate, of St. Clair, MO, Craig Kennedy and wife, Carla, of St. Clair, MO, Shawn Kennedy of St. Clair, MO and Keith Kennedy of St. Clair, MO; by her grandchildren, Zachary Howell and wife, Katie, Breeana Howell, Tyler King and wife, Haeli and Tygan Huff; by her great-grandchildren, Harper, Sydney, Kennedy and Sutton; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Kennedy; by her step-father Robert Bolte; by one sister, Linda Warnebold; and by her brother-in-law, Edwin Mudd. Cynthia was a Christian and has occasionally attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO with her mother. During her working career she was employed as an operator at Walker Products in Pacific, MO for over twenty years, as well at RTI Tradco in Washington, MO. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, hanging out by the pool, going to the casino and having family over for Super Bowl parties. She loved having a good time and a spiked Diet Dew for medicinal purposes. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving companion, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Andy Yount officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Love on the Leash.
