OBITUARY
Clifford Edward Watson of Lonedell, MO, departed this life at his home on Friday, April 17, 2026, having reached the age of eighty-two years, nine months and four days. Clifford was born in St. Louis, MO on July 13, 1943, son of Paul Edward Watson and Eldred Bernice Watson nee Weirich. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have four children.
Clifford is survived by his children, Kurt Watson and wife, Peggy, of Grubville, MO, Kevin Watson and wife, Patti, of Lonedell, MO, Charita Mesger and husband, Josh, of St. Louis, MO and Jalessa Stolte and husband, Jeffrey, of Union, MO; by his brother, Gene Watson and wife, Terry, of Gerald, MO; by ten grandchildren, Danielle Hall, Bradley Watson and girlfriend, Ashley Schraer, Bailey Stolte, Bentley Stolte, Camden Stolte, Canaan Stolte, Levi Mesger, Jensen Mesger, Nicholas James and Terin James; by five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eldred Watson; and by his sister, Debbie Grant-Watson.
Clifford was believer in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed by Daimler-Chrysler Corporation for thirty years as a line worker, as well as other positions in the company. After retiring from there he was employed by Eagle Creek Country Club in Naples, FL, Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Festus, MO and Summerset Property as security. While at Chrysler he was a proud member of United Auto Workers Local 110. He enjoyed traveling to Florida, spending time on the water and dancing. Clifford also liked to watch western movies, cleaning and spending time with his pet dogs. What meant most to him was time spent with family and the many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Josh Earls officiating. Interment will be in Martin Weirich Cemetery in Gerald, MO.
