Obituary

OBITUARY Claudia Ruth Dildine of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Thursday, March 23, 2023, having reached the age of seventy-four years, seven months and four days. Claudia was born in Steelville, MO on August 19, 1948, daughter of Perle Eldon Avery, Sr. and Virginia Mildred Avery nee Harman. On November 17, 1967 she was united in marriage to Michael Leroy Dildine, Sr. and three sons came to bless this union. Claudia is survived by her sons, Mickey Dildine and wife, Fran, of Sullivan, MO, Kenneth E. Dildine, Sr. and wife, Mary, of Warrenton, MO and Casey W. Dildine and wife, Jeanna, of Warrenton, MO; by three brothers, Clarence Avery and wife, Linda, of Leasburg, MO, Terry Hogan and wife, Vicki, of Boss, MO and Michael Hogan and wife, Jeanie, of Roland, AK; by her sister-in-law, Nina Marie Thompson of Lonedell, MO; by her grandchildren, Timothy Breuer, Kenneth Dildine, Jr. and fiancé, Shelbi Aulgur, Matthew Dildine, Mylie Dildine, Harper Dildine and Lincoln Dildine; by her great-grandchildren, Maya Schwerdt and Maevis Dildine; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, Perle, Sr. and Virginia Avery; by her husband, Michael Dildine, Sr.; by two brothers, Perle Avery, Jr. and J.R. Hogan; and by her sisters, Dormalee Morrison, Shirley Collier and Fern Bryan. Claudia was a Christian of the Baptist faith and believed in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was employed by Chris Kay Plastics in Union, MO and Von Weise Gear in St. Clair, MO. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 347 and VFW Auxiliary Post 2482 in St. Clair, MO, where she was very active. She loved collecting frogs and Coca Cola bears, enjoyed watching birds and listening to Neil Diamond. Claudia also enjoyed doing puzzles, crossword puzzles, word finds and brain teasers. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she cherished the time spent with them and the love they shared together. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Eugene Hudson officiating. A private committal will take place at Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
