OBITUARY Clarence Donald Pierce, known to all as Don, of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Sullivan, MO on Thursday, July 3, 2025, having reached the age of ninety years, eight months and twenty-eight days. Don was born in Lonedell, MO on October 5, 1934, son of Clarence Edwin Pierce and Elsie Mae Pierce nee Ellison. On March 25, 1966 he was united in marriage to Carlos May Wideman and two children came to bless this union. Don is survived by his wife, Carlos Pierce of St. Clair, MO; by his son, Ralph Pierce and wife, Michelle, of St. Clair, MO; by his daughter, Rhonda Williams and husband, Scott, of Springfield, MO; by his sister-in-law, Phyllis Wideman of St. Clair, MO; by his grandchildren, Colton Williams and wife, Stephanie, of Ozark, MO, Emma Pierce of St. Clair, MO, Chloe Williams of Ozark, MO and Maggie Mitchell and husband, Deacon, of Clarksville, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elsie Pierce. Don was a Christian and member of Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. He was a proud Army Veteran. During his working career he was employed by General Motors Corporation, retiring after thirty years of service to the company. He was a proud member of United Auto Workers Local 25 in St. Louis, MO. Don was a sixty-five year member of Easter Lodge 575 AF & AM in St. Clair, MO and Order of Eastern Star St. Clair Chapter #96. He had previously served as an alderman for St. Clair City and on the St. Clair Ambulance board. He loved to play music at Home Folks Acoustic House in St. Clair where he played bass guitar. He also enjoyed watching RFDTV, country music shows, tractor & steam engine shows, and was especially fond of John Deere tractors. Don also enjoyed going fishing, working in his vegetable garden and doing woodworking. What meant most to him was time spent with family, and especially time spent with his grandchildren, and watching them participate in competitive dance, school sports and other activities. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live on in their hearts. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with a Masonic Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 11, 2025 at the funeral home with Rev. Duke West officiating, assisted by Rev. Jay Tilson and Rev. Dick Hinson. Interment with full military honors will be in Crestview Memorial Park Haven of Rest Mausoleum in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO.
