OBITUARY

Charles Russell Boldt of Eureka, MO departed this life in Eureka, MO on Saturday, February 21, 2026, having reached the age of ninety-seven years, ten months and twenty-five days. Charles was born in New Madrid, MO on March 27, 1928, son of Charles Ernest Boldt and Myrtle Marie Boldt nee Cooper. On January 19, 1957 he was united in marriage to Tina Christina Taylor and they spent fifty-five years together until her passing.

Charles is survived by his brothers, William Boldt and wife, Erma Lee, of Garberville, CA, Wayne Boldt and wife, June, of Truman Lake, MO, James Boldt and wife, Carolyn, of Eureka, MO and Frank “Bubber” Boldt of Pacific, MO; by one sister, Carolyn Novak and husband, James, of Pacific, MO; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Myrtle Boldt; by his wife, Christina Boldt; and by four sisters, Joann Staffey, Marylou Hector, Shirley Lavely and Linda Phillips.

Charles was a Christian and had previously attended Virginia Mines Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. During his working career he was employed by McDonnell Douglas Corporation in St. Louis, MO as a machinist, serving the company for thirty years. He was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting, especially for bear, elk, deer, rabbit or squirrels. Charles also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. Although he had no children of his own, he cherished the time spent with family and friends.

A kind and loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Raymond Laramore officiating. Interment will be in Virginia Mines Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
