OBITUARY

Calvin Everett Nix of Pacific, MO departed this life in Pacific, MO on Saturday, June 20, 2026, having reached the age of eighty-nine years, seven months and twenty-eight days. Calvin was born in Gadsden, AL on October 23, 1936, son of Willis Nix and Pearl Nix nee Garigues. In April of 1956 he was united in marriage to Doris Jean Robinette and three children came to bless this union.

Calvin is survived by his children, Teresa Reed and husband, Terry, of Pacific, MO, Ron Nix and wife, Rhonda, of Lonedell, MO and Mike Nix of Union, MO; by one brother-in-law, Paul Robinette and wife, Dora, of St. Clair, MO; by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Pearl Nix; by his wife, Doris Nix; by his brothers, Harold Nix and Luthur Nix; and by three brothers-in-law, Troy Robinette, Coy Robinette and Doyle Robinette.

Calvin was a Christian and member of 1st Church of the Nazarene in Zephyr Hills, FL. He started his working career at the age of thirteen working for his father at Cargo Gas Station in Dade City, FL. Calvin also worked for Coca Cola in Dade City, FL, the State Highway Department in FL and for his cousin’s construction company, Cleveland Construction Company in Gainesville, FL. He loved to go fishing, work in his vegetable garden and took a lot of pride in taking care of his lawn. Calvin also collected and restored guns for resale and collected coins. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.

A kind and loving father, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A private committal will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens in Dade City, FL. The family of Calvin Everett Nix was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
