Barbara Jean Stubblefield of St. Clair, MO departed this life at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025, having reached the age of sixty-seven years, seven months, and eighteen days, Barbara was born in Washington, MO on December 2, 1957, daughter of Amos Herrington and Betty Herrington nee Messex. On October 29, 1977 she was united to Richard Mark Stubblefield and two children came to bless this union. Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" Stubblefield of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Jennifer Lause and husband, Jared of Beaufort, MO and Jared Stubblefield and wife, Angelena of Lonedell, MO; by 9 grandchildren, Liam and Adam Chandler, Alexa, Jack and Max Lause, Miranda, Mya and Remi Stubblefield, and Zack Busse; by one brother, Raymond Herrington of Owensville, MO; by two sisters, Shriley Herrington of Richwoods, MO and Lisa Richardson and husband, Tommy of Blackwell, MO; by her sister-in-law, Sheri Kase of Eureka, MO; by her nephew Josh Lewis and wife, Kirstyn of Washington, MO; by cousins and many friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Betty Herrington; by one brother, Sonny Herrington; and by one sister, Cindy Herrington. Barbara was a Christian and a member of United Church of Christ in St. Clair, MO. She devoted her life to taking care of her family and her home. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, camping, and fishing. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday July 29, 2025 and after 9:00 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2025 with Pastor David Godat officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Lupus Foundation.
