OBITUARY Arthur Charles Fink, Jr., known to most as Jim, of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on Sunday, June 9, 2024, having reached the age of ninety years, three months and twenty-nine days. Jim was born in Fenton, MO on February 11, 1934, son of Arthur Charles Fin, Sr. and Maude Fink nee Dohack. In 1958 he was united in marriage to Winnie Mae Korn. On May 28, 1973 he was united in marriage to Mary Kathrine Bruns, known to all as Laverne. Jim is survived by his children, Sandy Fink, DVM and wife, Donna Ellis, of St. James City, FL, Arthur C. Fink, III and wife, Theresa, of Gerald, MO, Dean Grus and wife, Donna, of Stanton, MO and Deanne Grus of Polk city, FL; by his sister-in-law, Charlotte Fink; by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur, Sr. and Maude Fink; by his wives, Winnie Fink and Laverne Fink; by his brother, Eric Fink; by his sister, Shirley Waldo; and by his brother-in-law, Russell Waldo. Jim was a Christian and had been attending St. John United Church of Christ in St. Clair, MO. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri, Rolla, an ongoing alumni and supporter and member of Sigma Epsilon Pi. Jim was proud to have served his country in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. During his working career he was employed by Husky in Pacific, MO, starting in the late 70's and serving the company for about thirty years. Upon his retirement, he had his own consulting business and continued to consult for them. Jim had a variety of interests throughout his life. He loved cars, whether racing them in his youth, watching Indy car races or just working on them. He would fix or repair anything for anyone. Jim was a licensed pilot, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and loved making wine after his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether going fishing or camping. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. A private committal will take place at a later date. The family of Arthur Charles Fink, Jr. entrusted the care of their loved on to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
