OBITUARY
Alpha Rosetta Booth of St. Clair, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, January 25, 2026, having reached the age of eighty-nine years, seven months and fourteen days. Alpha was born in Naylor, MO on June 11, 1936, daughter of Walter Lewis Elder and Violet Elder nee Elliott. On March 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Joseph Andrew Booth and two daughters came to bless this union.
Alpha is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn Deanna Booth of St. Clair, MO and Pamela Jean Dace nee Booth and husband, Kevin, of St. Clair, MO; by her maternal aunt, Agnes Ruth Baldauf nee Elliott and husband, Russ, of Murrieta, CA; by her sisters-in-law, Josephine Elder of Eureka, MO, Luella Jane Rabbitt nee Booth of Trenton, IL and Mary Alice Sobba nee Booth and husband, Don, of Auxvasse, MO; by her grandchildren, Kerry Dilks nee Huff and husband, Aaron, of Villa Ridge, MO, Stephanee Click nee Gable and husband, Matthew, of Lonedell, MO, Sara Huff of St. Clair, MO, Daniel Huff and friend, Jackie, of Union, MO, Katie Sincox nee Dace and husband, Noah, of Washington, MO, Joseph Dace and wife, Alicia, of St. Clair, MO and Devin Huff and wife, Dr. Chrissy, of Pacific, MO; by twenty-five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, with two more expected in July 2026, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Alpha was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Violet Elder; by her husband, Joseph Booth; and by her brother, Clifton Elder.
Alpha was a Christian and member of Living Hope Church in St. Clair, MO. She loved going to church and loved Jesus. Alpha was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary at Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church. During her working career she was employed at Missouri Knife Company and also Budget Lodging, both in St. Clair, MO, although caring for her home and family was her priority in life. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, NASCAR fan, loved Tweety bird and her pet dogs, Gordo, Miss Prissy and Ladybug. What meant most to her was time spent with her children and grandchildren. They held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Living Hope Church in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Terry Etherton officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the church. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
