OBITUARY Allan Christian Hrastich of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Town & Country, MO on Saturday, October 5, 2024, having reached the age of seventy-eight years, three months and fifteen days. Allan was born in St. Louis, MO on June 20, 1946, son of Anthony Christian Hrastich and Amy Louise Hrastich nee Heege. On August 31, 1974 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Lankford. Allan is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hrastich of St. Clair, MO; by his children, Thomas Wolfe of Westminster, CO, Dr. Matthew Hrastich and fiancé, Kristin Trenary, of Creve Coeur, MO, Amy Heberer and husband, Eric, of Dorsey, IL and Andrew Hrastich and wife, Katrina, of St. Clair, MO; by his brother, Thomas Hrastich and wife, Patricia, of Sunset Hills, MO; by his sisters-in-law, Patricia Ristvedt and husband, Mike, of West Salem, IL and Mary Jane McKinney of Edwardsville, IL; and by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Amy Hrastich. Allan was a Christian, believing in the Lord as his Savior and had been attending Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy. during his working career he was employed as a mechanical engineer for Ameren Missouri from 1968 through 2000, retiring after thirty-two years of service to the company. Allan was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and a past president of the Indian Trails Gun Club in St. Clair, MO. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, camping and riding horses. He also enjoyed spending time on the computer. Allan loved living the country life and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. The love and fellowship they shared together will forever be remembered by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Raymond Laramore officiating.
