Mildred "Pauline" Carson nee Roberts

November 7, 1928 - March 10, 2022

OBITUARY Mildred Pauline Carson known to all as Pauline, of Gerald, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO on March 10, 2022, having reached the age of ninety-three years, four months and three days. Pauline was born in Bradleyville, MO on November 7, 1928, daughter of Louis Roberts and Fern Roberts nee Gott. On July 17, 1945 she was united in marriage to Raymond Silwood Carson and three daughters came to bless this union. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Judith Strother and husband, Bob, of Union, MO, Janice Harper of Sullivan, MO and Jean Schulte and husband, Otis, of Gerald, MO; by one sister, Margaret Reams of Wichita Falls, TX; by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Fern Roberts; by her husband, Raymond Carson; by her brothers, Donald Roberts, Jim Smith and Pete Smith; by one sister, Carolyn Maddox; and by her son-in-law, Treffie Harper. Pauline was a Christian and member of Church of Christ in Sullivan, MO. She made caring for her home and family her job in life and never tired of it. Pauline enjoyed doing crochet and working in her flower beds. In her younger years she would work her vegetable garden and can her produce. She loved to cook for the family and would even “feed the deer hunters”. What meant most to her was time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished forever by them all. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Dick Hinson officiating. Interment was in Huff Family Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
