Jeffery Stuart Adams

OBITUARY Jeffery Stuart Adams of Robertsville, MO departed this life in Sullivan, MO on January 31, 2022, having reached the age of sixty-two years, seven months and thirteen days. Jeffery was born in St. Louis, MO on June 18, 1959, son of Richard Eugene Adams and Mary Ruth Adams nee Piquard. On May 14, 1988, he was united in marriage to Loretta Joyce Rutledge and two children came to bless this union. Jeffery is survived by his wife, Loretta Adams of Robertsville, MO; by his son, Jeffery Kyle Adams and wife, Tiffany, of St. Louis, MO; by his daughter, Leah Krystine Ramsey and husband, Cory, of Tulsa, OK; by his grandson, Maverick Ramsey of Tulsa, OK; by his brothers, Michael Adams and wife, Jeanne, of Richland, MO, Steve Adams and wife, Michelle, of Webster Groves, MO and Matt Adams and wife, Stephanie, of Boonville, MO; by his sisters, Mary Dierker of Lonedell, MO and Jennie Schmidt of Lonedell, MO; by his parents-in-law, Joyce Rutledge of St. Louis, MO and Dennis Rutledge and wife, June, of Springfield, MO; by his sisters-in-law, Pamela Neal and husband, Rob, of Belleville, IL and Deb Conley of Prior Lake, MN; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Jeffery was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Adams; and by his brothers-in-law, Rick Dierker and Gary Schmidt. Jeffery was a Christian and member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. He was active in the church, helping to sponsor the college age youth group. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He loved to go camping with the family, play golf and go fishing, especially fly fishing. Jeffery loved to teach others how to tie flies and how to fly fish, mainly for trout. He also loved to watch and coach soccer. His family was the most important thing to him. His children and grandson were his pride and joy and held a very special place in his heart. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be forever cherished by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date.
