Tanya Marie Schulte nee Rich

OBITUARY Tanya Marie Schulte nee Rich of Robertsville, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on May 4, 2022, having reached the age of seventy-one years, three months and eighteen days. Tanya was born in Buffalo, NY on January 16, 1951, daughter of Elmer Allen Rich and Evelyn Jane Rich nee Graber. On July 27, 1976 she was united in marriage to Jerry Anthony Schulte and two daughters came to bless this union. Tanya is survived by her husband, Jerry Schulte of Robertsville, MO; by her daughters, Toni Riley and husband, Michael, of Cedar Hill, MO and Nichole Hernandez of St. Louis, MO; by her brother, Barry Rich and wife, Susie, of Atlanta, GA; by her sisters, Diane Hutchins and husband, Gary, of Joplin, MO and Cindy Pyle and husband, David, of Berne, IN; by her grandchildren, David Riley, Padric Lovelady, Andrew Riley and Agustina Hernandez; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Tanya was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Evelyn Rich. Tanya was a Christian and member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO and was very involved in many church functions. As a young woman early in her working career she was employed as a nurse at a hospital, but when she gave birth to her daughters her passion turned to caring for her home and family. As a young child she moved from Buffalo, NY and spent the remainder of her childhood in Berne, IN before relocating to the local area. Tanya enjoyed baking, caring for her flowers and vegetable garden and canning her produce. In her later years she enjoyed quilting and was a part of a local quilting club. What meant most to her was time spent with her family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church. The family of Tanya Marie Schulte was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
