James Raymond Stahlman of Leslie, MO departed this life in Union, MO on Sunday, June 30, 2024, having reached the age of eighty-one years, three months and twenty-seven days. James was born in Washington, MO on March 7, 1943, son of Warren Wesley Stahlman and Mabel Iniece Stahlman nee Cooper. On September 25, 1993 he was united in marriage to Betty Ann Bacinski nee DeMent. James is survived by his wife, Betty Stahlman of Leslie, MO; by his sons, Troy Stahlman and wife, Melanie, of House Springs, MO and Todd Stahlman and wife, Trish, of House Springs, MO; by his daughter, Tina Butler and husband, Mike, of Eureka, MO; by his step-son, James Bacinski of Marthasville, MO; by six grandchildren, Trever, Tyler, Ben, Abbie, Olivia and Sarah; by two step-grandchildren, Amanda and Jeremy; by one great-grandchild, three step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mabel Stahlman; and by one granddaughter, Kerry. James was a Christian and member of Antioch Christian Church in Leslie, MO. During his working career he was a union carpenter, working primarily out of the union hall of Carpenters Local 5, which he was a proud member. He had a variety of interests throughout his life. James was a member of a classic car club, loved to go four-wheeling, boating and hunting. He also had an interest in guns, woodworking, learning how to play the guitar and eagles. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, step-father, father-in-law, grandfather, step-grandfather, great-grandfather, step-great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 12, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO and after 9:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Antioch Christian Church in Leslie, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Antioch Christian Church in Leslie, MO with Eric Giebler officiating. Interment will be in Anaconda Community Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the church. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
