Sandra Kay Wagner, known to most as Sandy, of Lonedell, MO departed this life at her home on Monday, July 22, 2013, having reached the age of fifty-nine years, eight months and twenty-four days. Sandy was born in St. Louis, MO, on October 28, 1953, daughter of Harvey Joe Miller and Lorraine Rose Miller nee Conners. On December 13, 1975, she was united in marriage to James Martin Wagner and they were blessed with three children.

Sandy is survived by her husband, James M. Wagner of Lonedell, MO: by two sons, James C. Wagner of High Ridge, MO and Steven Wagner and wife, April, of Gilbertsville, KY; by one daughter, Theresa Schaefer of House Springs, MO; by one brother, Michael Miller and wife, Chris, of St. Louis, MO; by her adopted brother, Jim Hallum of the state of Nebraska; by her half-sister, Joan Chism and husband, Gary, of Branson, MO; by nine grandchildren, one uncle, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Lorraine Miller.

Sandy was a Christian of the Baptist faith. During her working years, she was employed by Chrysler Daimler Corporation in Fenton, MO, retiring after thirty-one years of employment. She was also a member, past officer and retiree of the United Auto Workers Local 110 and Local 136, both of St. Louis. Sandy’s passion was the American Indian and she loved visiting the reservations. She enjoyed beading and made beautiful jewelry. She was an outgoing, vivacious person with a love for life. Snow skiing, snorkeling and raising beautiful flowers were other hobbies. She enjoyed watching wild life and nature and collecting butterflies. Nothing made her happier than the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. The love they shared and the wonderful memories created will be treasured by them all.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, half sister, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Pat Singleton officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation or to the American Indian Heritage Foundation.
