Eddy was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthann Bardot.

Eddy was a Christian and had been raised in the Catholic faith. He was formerly employed by Jerome Group in St. Louis, MO, where he worked as a production manager for over fifteen years. Eddy was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force, entering on July 15, 1987 and receiving his discharge on March 22, 1990, after attaining the rank of Airman First Class. He loved playing and listening to music, going to concerts and playing the bass guitar. He also enjoyed the theater, going to movies and setting up the acoustics for various bands. As a young man, Eddy was an Eagle Scout and member of the 4-H Club. He played high school football and was on the school wrestling team.
